From wall to skin

For Holie, tattooing is a constantly evolving creative process. Rather than following a single style or formula, his work is driven by experimentation, artistic freedom, and the challenge of turning ideas into something visually powerful.
His approach combines realism, strong contrasts, textures, and bold compositions, often exploring darker imagery and unconventional concepts. From detailed black and grey pieces to abstract blackwork, lettering, and freehand designs, every project offers an opportunity to push his creativity further.
One of the most important aspects of his work is understanding how a design interacts with the body. Flow, placement, movement, and longevity all play a part in creating tattoos that not only look good on paper but truly belong on the skin.
Holie enjoys the freedom of developing custom concepts, combining different techniques, and finding unexpected ways to bring an idea to life. He believes that an artist should never stop learning, experimenting, or questioning their own work.
